ABOUT GUY PHILBIN

Professor Philbin brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the table. For the past six years, he taught General Psychology, Psychology of Adjustment, Abnormal Psychology, Child Psychology, and Life Span Development for the Navy College Program at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Previously Dr. Philbin taught Journalism for Wagner College in New York; graduate and undergraduate courses in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, and Business for Notre Dame of Maryland University; as well as undergraduate courses in English Studies and Technical Writing for Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh.
His doctoral thesis — Edward L. Bernays and the Art of Public Persuasion: A Case Study of his Work for the American Nurses Association — received the university’s award for academic excellence. Professor Philbin has also received awards for outstanding leadership, advertising, and journalism.
His academic credentials include a doctorate in information systems and communications, a masters degree in education, a certificate of advanced study in education and psychology, a masters in the history of ideas, and a bachelor of arts in philosophy.
